Tonight at 7:30pm in Convocation Hall, Lewis is hosting Icelandic-American pianist, Dr. Kristín Jónína Taylor. The performance will also feature the world premiere of Piano Sonata no. 2 by our very own Dr. Mike McFerron!

Kristín Jónína Taylor has received much praise for her performances of Nordic piano works. She has performed throughout the United States, including for both the Ambassador and President of Iceland in Washington D.C., as well as in Iceland, France, the Czech Republic, Belgium, Sweden, Austria, Serbia, Canada, Latvia, and Lithuania. Kristín is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She is a Steinway Artist and a member of the Steinway Teacher Hall of Fame.

The performance will also feature the world premiere of a new piece by Lewis' very own Professor of Music and Composer-in-Residence, Dr. Mike McFerron!

Check out one of Kristín's perfomances below and consider braving the cold to come out to Convocation Hall tonight at 7:30pm for a night of beautiful music. Or stay warm and stream the concert at luartsandideas.org instead!
