Tomorrow night, Lewis is hosting Chamber Project St. Louis at the St. Charles Borromeo Convocation Hall. And our very own Assistant Professor of Music, Dr. Adrianne Honnold, is one of their founding members!

Dr. Honnold explains that Chamber Project St. Louis started in 2007, when a group of professional musician friends were “hanging out one night talking about music they’d like to perform, and the types of concerts they’d like to attend.” But what they wanted wasn’t being scheduled or performed…so they decided to form a group and do it themselves!

Chamber Project St. Louis presents classical music in non-traditional and informal venues, meeting audiences where they are and making classical music more accessible. The music is incredibly diverse and features works by living composers from groups not often represented in the classical music world, including many women and people of color.

Dr. Honnold says she is “thrilled to be back in the Midwest and to have the chance to perform with them again. This is a special group that is always warm and welcoming to audiences, and they present classical music at a high level in an informal, relaxed atmosphere that makes chamber music so enjoyable.”

So be sure to come out to the St. Charles Borromeo Convocation Hall on Tuesday, October 11 at 7:30pm for this innovative and inspiring concert!
